Tour of the Dolomites itinerary

Monday - Arrival day and Tre Cime

Arrival day into Venice for a 2 hour transfer to Cortina d'Ampezzo. After a quick lunch our mechanic is on hand to build bikes before a warm up ride. We will ride the mighty Tre Cime Lavaredo before heading back to the hotel for dinner at 8pm where our guides talk through the plans for the rest of the week.

Tuesday - Cortina to Corvara: Giau & Fedaia

Breakfast from 7am and meet at 8am for an 8.30am rollout. Today's ride is one of the biggest of the week with four big climbs packed into 92km. Straight out of Cortina we start climbing before turning onto the Giau and then to the beautiful Fedaia. Lunch is in Canazei after these climbs before heading to Corvara over the Passo Pordoi & Campolongo. Corvara is an incredible base for the next two nights.

Wednesday - Corvara to Corvara: Sella Ronda -

A classic Dolomites route. From Corvara we head over the picturesque Valporolo with stunning views in all directions before descending all the way to Arabba and then the last three climbs of the Sella Ronda - the Passo Pordoi, Sella & Gardena. A fantastic and not too difficult day allowing for a relaxed afternoon at the spa & a couple of beers on the terrace.

Thursday - Gardena & Sella

The easiest day of the week as we leave the Dolomites before finishing the week in the Italian Alps. We head out over the beautiful Passo Gardena and then the Sella before finishing the ride on the picturesque valley road to Bolzano.

Friday - Bolzano to Bormio: Stelvio

A gentle first 70km and then a massive last 50km today. We all ride together on the valley road from Bolzano to Prato and then grab coffee in town before the taking the mighty Stelvio. This is the famous side of the mountain with 48 hairpins. At the summit we regroup over a coffee before the fun descent into Bormio, our base for the last two days.

Saturday - Bormio to Bormio: Mortirolo & Gavia

Roll out at 8.30am, we descend down the valley to Grosio where you have the choice of which side to climb the mighty Mortirolo. The first side from Grosio is 14km at 8% or continue to Mazzo for the famous side, 12km at 11%. We meet at the top and then descend and ride to Ponte di Legno for lunch. From here, we climb the Gavia before descending back to Bormio.

Departure day

Today we say goodbye to the Italian Alps. Our transfer home is at 11am so you can enjoy a bit of a lie-in, late breakfast before getting on the coach to go back to Bergamo Airport.
