The 2024 Royal Parks Half Marathon, presented by Royal Bank of Canada, will take place on Sunday 13 October. Viewed as one of the most beautiful half marathons in the world, the 13.1mile run leads its 16,000 participants through four of London’s eight Royal Parks, including Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. Internationally recognised London landmarks also form part of the race’s backdrop – with runners being in eye-shot of Trafalgar Square, the London Eye, Canada House and Buckingham Palace. The event starts and finishes in the world-famous Hyde Park.
Rated by Runners World UK as one of the 100 best races in the world (hand-picked by a panel of athletes and experts in 2022), the Royal Parks Half Marathon is one of the world’s most popular half marathons and sells out every year. As the Official International Travel Partner for 2024, we are delighted to partner with the event to offer guaranteed entry for international runners. We are unable to sell entries to UK runners.

Arrival Day
Make your own arrangements to arrive at your hotel in London today. Usually hotel rooms are ready to check in after 3pm. If you arrive early, then you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings while you wait for the room to be ready.
The rest of the day and evening is free for you to enjoy London at your leisure.

Following a great nights sleep we invite you to enjoy breakfast in the hotel. Those on the two-night package will arrive today.
What about my race bib collection?
Royal Parks Half race pack including bib must be collected today from the race site in Hyde Park – exact location and opening hours are to be advised.
The rest of the day and evening is free for you to enjoy London at your leisure. Our hotels are conveniently located near to great sights, restaurants, cafes and landmarks, perfect for a light stroll.

Race Day
This is the day you have trained so hard for!
Take an early breakfast in the hotel before making your way to the race start, which is only a short distance away!
How do I get to the race start?
The Royal Parks Half start and finish area is along the south side of Hyde Park. Both the Copthorne Tara and The Rembrandt hotels are within walking distance. Staying at the Copthorne, you will enter through Kensington Gardens south-west of the park, and if you are staying at the Rembrandt hotel, a 15 minutes walk north will see you access South Carriage drive, Hyde Park, from Knightsbridge. On arrival at the start please follow the instructions of the race officials.
After the race, make your way back to the hotel, freshen up, celebrate… You deserve it!

About The Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024

The Royal Parks Half was created in 2008 and is a spectacular half marathon in central London – the first and only one of its kind. The stunning 21km/13.1 mile route takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. The 2024 Royal Parks Half Marathon, presented by Royal Bank of Canada will take place on Sunday 13 October.
This award-winning event was set up as an annual fundraising initiative, raising sustainable funds for the Royal Parks to support London’s eight Royal Parks, and enabling charities of all sizes to be involved in a major challenge event. The event has exceeded all expectation in raising £60 million for over 1,200 UK charities, including the Royal Parks, GOSH, and Mind.
The Royal Parks as a charity relies on important donations and events, with the Royal Parks Half being a key source of income for London’s beautiful Royal Parks. Through this event, the money raised helps to keep the magic of the Royal Parks alive through restoring monuments and playgrounds, teaching children about the natural world and caring for wildlife.

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 is an extremely popular event and operates a lottery system for entry. Chances of securing a place via the lottery is 1 in 7, with the results usually announced in February. Marathon Tours and Travel is proud to be the Official International Travel Partner for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024. As part of a travel package with a hotel stay in London, we offer guaranteed entry to international runners for this sell-out event without the need to enter the ballot. We welcome runners from all countries, except we cannot sell to UK runners.

How to book
To make your booking, follow the ‘Book Now’ button. Once at checkout please ensure that you select the correct number of rooms and types for all members in your party plus all the required extras. You will need to add an entry to your basket to receive an email invite to complete your registration on the Royal Parks Half Marathon website. If you do not add an entry to your booking, you will not be added to the runner portal.
If you are not running the race, you can select the non-runner discount to add to your basket.
When you book, we will require a deposit to confirm your place.
Payments
When you confirm your booking, we will take a deposit payment. Subsequent payments are taken automatically. The cost of the event entry is non-refundable.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is an essential part of any holiday you take and we highly recommend that you purchase suitable insurance for your trip. You must ensure that your travel insurance policy covers you to participate in running events in the UK.
Minimum Age
Only persons who will be aged 17 years or above on the date of the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 (Sunday 13 October 2024) may register for the event.
Conditions of Sale
Please note we cannot sell race entry without accommodation package and we cannot sell race entries to residents of the UK.
Entry Procedure
When you buy your package with us, your entry is included as part of the package. A non-runner reduction will be given to spectators.

Environmental Policy
The Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 are committed to delivering as green and sustainable a race as possible, with an aim to reach a net-zero by 2027. At present sixty-six percent of all waste from the event is recycled with further plans being made to do more with every event.
