• Rome is one of the most historic cities in the world. Steeped in history, you are welcomed with ancient buildings and landmarks. There is no city like it. The Rome Marathon gives you the chance to run through history, soaking in all Rome has to offer along the way. Starting from Fori Imperiali, passing in front of the Vittoriano, you will see the chariot-racing stadium the Circo Massimo, before enjoying the breeze of Lungotevere alley that runs along the river Tiber. You will then take in the impressive Castel Sant’Angelo, viale della Conciliazione and St. Peter’s Basilica before finishing.

• Our hotel is just around the corner from the Colosseum tucked away in a quiet street. There are plenty of shops, wine bars and trattorie to give the neighbourhood a lively and authentic “local” feel. You can find many Rome’s historical sights such as the Roman Forum, the Palatine and Piazza Venezia within an easy walk. The Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain are a 15 to 20 minute bus ride from the hotel or can also be easily reached on foot. Perfectly positioned for race day the start and finish is only 10 minutes’ walk away.
