The 33rd edition of the Paris Half Marathon, also known as the Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris, will take place on 9th March 2025 and usually attracts 40,000+ entrants. A big percentage are 1st time half marathoners, but all can experience this lively and exciting half marathon.

The Place de la Bastille is traditionally at the heart of the Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris. Located in Paris city centre, the start and finish area makes your Paris Half Marathon experience nice and easy. It’s a great way to see the city and achieve a half marathon personal best time (PB) or simply just enjoy the festivities! 2025 package details have not been confirmed yet. Trusted by the event organisers as a Diamond graded official tour operator 2024 Marathon Tours & Travel offered 2 to 5-night packages in Paris at a hotel very close to the Place de la Bastille and Gare de Lyon station, making for a very convenient location on race day, as well as for seeing the sights and sounds of Paris. Perfectly positioned for race day, the 1km and 18km spectator areas are less than 10 minutes’ walk away and the finish area is 15 minutes away. No need to visit the Expo to collect your race bib booked with us, we will do that for you. The itinerary below reflects the 2 nights package. Adding extra nights is recommended and allows you more time to explore the city.

      Arrival Day, Welcome meeting & Shake-out run. 

      Make your own arrangements to arrive at Hotel Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon today. Usually, hotel rooms are ready to check in after 2:00pm. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel and explore your surroundings.

      Early this evening we invite you to meet the Marathon Tours & Travel team and join us in the hotel lobby before leaving for an optional shake-out run in the local area. It will acquaint you with the local area and shake-out any travel tiredness. The run will be easy and at a pace comfortable for all fitness levels. A perfect opportunity to ask questions and get to know fellow runners.

      Today please enjoy the city at your leisure. If you booked your race entry with us we will collect your race pack (including bag, t-shirt & race bib) and hand it to you at the hotel today. If you obtained your own race entry you will be required to make your own way to the Expo to collect your race pack.

      The rest of the day is at your leisure. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to suggest some sightseeing options.

      Often restaurants are booked up early, but you don’t need to worry about finding somewhere to carb-load this evening as you join the Marathon Tours & Travel team for a delicious and nutritious pre-race dinner.

      Race Day and check out. 

      Breakfast will be available early. Those running the Paris Half Marathon will easily be able to walk to the start from Hotel Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon. The race start is approximately 20 minutes walk. On arrival at the start please follow the instructions of the race officials, run, and have fun!

      The 1km and 18km spectator areas of the Paris Half Marathon route are less than 10 minutes’ walk away from Hotel Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon and the finish area is 15 minutes away. Perfectly positioned for race day and to cheer on the runners. (Please note at the time of itinerary creation the route is TBC – if any changes occur the location of our hotel is still very accessible)

      Unless you have booked extra nights please check out of your room before leaving for the race this morning. We recommend you extend your stay with us at Hotel Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon TGV so you can continue your celebrations and join us for a drink with your fellow runners this evening.  Costs for extra nights can be given, or use our easy booking tool to select the extra nights.

      Hotel Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon is the ideal location for your stay in Paris. Next to the Gare de Lyon, the hotel gives you access to many areas of Paris by public transport. RER A takes you directly to the Arc de Triomphe, La Défense and Disneyland Paris, while the metro takes you to Notre-Dame, the Louvre and the Champs-Élysées. Near the hotel you can find the Marais, the banks of the Seine, Saint Germain-des-prés, République, Bastille, the Coulée Verte and also the botanical garden.       The starting and finish area of the Paris Half Marathon is in the area of the Place de la Bastille. The race will start on the Boulevard Henri IV, continue through the streets of Paris, between 5km and 15km in the beautiful Bois de Vincennes park and remaining 6km along the Seine to finish on Rue de Lyon.       Starting Times and Bib Numbers

      Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2025 Paris Half Marathon we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.

      Closer to the event we will ask for your expected pace and other details to complete the registration process for the 2025 Paris Half Marathon. The race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.

       

      Medical Certificate: All runners are required to provide a medical certificate (this is a legal requirement for taking part in running events in France) stating that there is no medical indication that they cannot take part in a competitive running event. Medical certificates must be uploaded to the runner’s personal account before the event.

      Only if medical certificates have been uploaded to the runner’s account can we collect and deliver entries to the hotel. If your medical certificate has been refused or if you didn’t upload it, you will have to print and bring with you to the bib collection (it must be dated less than a year prior to the date of the race and have the wording «running in competition », « athletism in competition » or « sport in competition »).

      To avoid mistakes we advise you to use this certificate template.

      For some people it may not be that easy to make an appointment with a doctor, or your doctor may charge a significant fee for this. You also may not want to add an extra burden to your local healthcare service. That’s why we introduce you to an online medical certification service. Simply fill out the online questionnaire, pay the fee and your certificate will be delivered to you. More details can be found here.

      Our itinerary and details regarding the race are based on current information available at the time this package was released for sale. Whilst we expect the details to remain correct, changes are possible and will be confirmed nearer to the trip after the race organisers have confirmed final instructions.       How to Book during the pre-booking before package release stage

      Whilst we expect this event to take place on the date shown the exact date will only be announced later. Do not book any flights until confirmed details are known and we have advised you of the package choices.

      How to Book after package options are released.

      Our team will contact you, advise packages choices with prices and invite you to booking a specific package. At this stage you will need select the correct number of rooms and types for all members in your party plus all the required extras. When you book, we will require a further deposit.

      Payments

      When you confirm your booking, we will take a deposit payment. Subsequent payments are taken automatically.

      Travel Insurance

      Travel insurance is an essential part of any holiday you take, and we highly recommend that you purchase suitable insurance for your trip. You must ensure that your travel insurance policy also covers you to participate in running events.

      Security Policy

      Marathon Tours & Travel’s security policy requires that anyone staying in our room block must be registered as part of our package. If a registered client attempts to house a non-registered guest and/or invite them to attend any of our scheduled activities, the registered guest’s tour package will be forfeited, and parties may be denied access to future tours. Please note that no exceptions will be made as this policy will be strictly enforced.
