Your Experience

Combine riding in the stunning French Alps with watching the pro riders taking on the famous Criterium du Dauphine! You will ride some of the famous Tour de France climbs whilst taking in the stunning mountain scenery. On day three our route will take us up the mighty Col de la Loze, which featured in the 2023 Tour de France and defined the race.

The Criterium du Dauphine is famously known as a pre-cursor to the Tour. Whilst the race is held in high stature itself, it often shows who is in the best form heading into the big one the following month. By riding the same roads as the pros, this unique tour can be used as an early summer training camp. This trip is situated in a stunning part of the French Alps and allows you to ride some epic climbs. Mike, your expert guide for this tour, lives local to the area and has chosen the best roads and climbs the area has to offer.

How to book

Please make your booking by clicking on the orange button at the top of the page. Please ensure that you select the correct amount of tickets. When you book, we will require full payment to confirm your place.

Travel advice

Before you travel, check the ‘Entry requirements’ section for Belgium and France's current entry restrictions and requirements. For UK travellers information can be found here. For other countries, please check with the relevant local authorities.

Travel Insurance

For details of specialist sports travel insurance for our travel packages, please visit our insurance page. You must ensure that your travel insurance policy covers you to participate in cycling events in Belgium and France. Please remember to insure your bike for foreign travel.

Minimum numbers

At Sportive Breaks virtually all our trips are guaranteed to run. Some of our guided cycling tours, warm weather cycling weeks and weekenders however require a minimum number of participants to enable us to operate them.

We reserve the right to cancel any holiday where this minimum number is not achieved. You will be advised before your booking is accepted of the minimum number applicable to your holiday unless the trip is already guaranteed to run. Failure to achieve the applicable minimum number does not, however, oblige us to cancel.

Trip status labels

No label -> The trip is not subject to minimum numbers, so is guaranteed to go ahead.

Available -> Open for bookings. Please hold off with booking flights.

Guaranteed Departure -> You are free to book your flights and other travel arrangements.

Limited Availability -> Guaranteed to depart but only a few places remain.

Once the minimum number has been reached, the trip status will change from 'Available' to 'Guaranteed to Depart'. Once a trip is guaranteed to depart you are free to book your flights and make other travel arrangements. If the trip status is ‘Limited’ then we have only a small number of spaces available for booking. If you are unsure about the trip status, please email or call our office.

We will notify you of cancellation for this reason by the date by which full payment of your trip cost must be received by us (normally 12 weeks before departure).

Please note that we will not be liable for any costs, expenses, or losses you incur (for example, in respect of flights) because of the cancellation of any trip due to lack of minimum numbers. You are accordingly recommended not to incur any non-refundable expenditure until you have received confirmation that your trip is guaranteed to operate or after the deadline for cancellation for this reason if later.
