Your Experience

Milan Sanremo is one of the 5 Monuments of Cycling and is also the longest one day event of the entire calendar. The Granfondo MILAN – SANREMO cicloturistica covers the same route as the famous Spring Classic.

51st edition in 2023

Join Andrea and his team for the Gran Fondo Milan Sanremo weekend. Stay with us in Milan for 2 nights and Sanremo for 1 night. Your weekend includes all support from our team. Guaranteed entry in Pen 2, airport transfers, luggage transport from Milan to Sanremo, private feed stations, hotels on half board basis are all included.

This is one of the longest one day amateur cycling events in the world, with a distance of about 299 km from the outskirts of Milan, crossing the Lombardy and Piedmont Plains, proceeding to the ascent of the Turchino and arriving finally at the Ligurian Riviera. From Genoa the route follows the coast of the Ligurian sea right to the finish line, which can only be conquered by venturing up the legendary climbs of the Cipressa and the Poggio of Sanremo.

The MILAN – SANREMO cicloturistica began in 1970 on the initiative of the Unione Cicloturistica Sanremo, and they have organised it ever since without a break, making it into the most famous cicloturistica event in Italy.

The last editions welcomed in all about 2,000 athletes coming from all over Europe, with the participation also of athletes from countries as far away as New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Brazil, the United States and Canada.

The route

The Gran Fondo Milan – SanRemo cicloturistica covers the close to 300 km that separate Milan from SanRemo, re-tracing the same roads as the Spring Classicissima.

Compared to professional race, the starting point has been changed from the Castello Sforzesco in Milan to the south of the city. This is to avoid the traffic of the Lombardy capital. The finish is in Lungomare Salvo d’Acquisto in Sanremo. The rest of the route is absolutely faithful to the one followed by the professionals.

This is your opportunity to ride the route of the longest one day event on the UCI calendar. Stay 2 nights in Milan and 1 night in Sanremo. Airport transfers from Milan Malpensa and to Nice are included as well as your entry and the services of our local team led by Giro d'Italia stage winner Andrea Ferrigato. On race day, you ride whilst we offer private feed stations plus we transport your luggage to Sanremo.
