The Paris Marathon also known as the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is now one of the biggest marathons in the world, with an expected 60,000+ entrants. A big percentage travel to this magnificent city from other parts of the globe and around a third are 1st time marathoners. With a cut off time of 5hrs 40mins it truly is a race for all to experience.

The starting line of the Paris Marathon is on the famous Champs Elysees Avenue, in front of the Arc de Triomphe. Runners head towards and around Place De la Concorde before turning right into Rue de Rivoli. This section takes you past Hotel de Ville, Place de la Bastille and through a more residential area on the eastern edge of the city before you enter Bois de Vincennes park and see the Chateau de Vincennes.

A wide loop of the Bois de Vincennes returns runners to the heart of the city and along the river Seine, past Notre Dame cathedral, the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay and the Eiffel Tower before you enter the Bois de Boulogne park. 5kms around the park before you finally and triumphantly finish in the wide and spacious Avenue Foch.

In a nutshell Paris in the Spring together with one of the biggest sightseeing marathons in the World is an incredible experience you won’t forget.

Starting Times and Bib Numbers

Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2023 Paris Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.

Closer to the event we will send you a link which will allow you to complete the registration process for the Paris Marathon. Once you have finalised the registration process, the race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information you provide.

 

Your Itinerary

Friday 31 March or Saturday 1 April, 2023Race bib collection

Race bib collection

You'll need to collect your race bib on Friday 31st March or Saturday 1st April from the official marathon expo in Porte de Versailles. There is no possibility of bib collection on race day.

Sunday 2 April, 2023 : The Paris Marathon

This is the day you have trained so hard for! 

On arrival at the start please follow the instructions of the race officials. 

The 2023 Paris Marathon 

The Paris Marathon starts in waves and it is expected runners will have 5 hours 40 minutes to complete the course and receive a Paris Marathon medal. Times and details will be advised later. 

 

 

 

Need to Know

Minimum age 

To take part in the Event, you must be at least twenty (20) years old at the latest on 31 December 2023.

Medical Certificate

All runners must provide a medical certificate (this is a legal requirement for taking part in running and cycling events in France) stating that there is no medical indication that they cannot take part in a competitive running event. Medical certificates must be uploaded to the runner’s personal account before the event. 

The certificate must be dated less than a year prior to the date of the race and have the wording «running in competition », « athletics competition » or « sport in competition »).

When registering for the Schneider Electric Marthon de Paris, you will have to use an existing, or create a new, online runner's account.

Only if medical certificates have been uploaded to the runner’s account, can we deliver entries to the hotels. If your medical certificate has been refused or if you didn’t upload it, you will have to print it and bring it to the bib collection area at the Paris Marathon expo.

How to book

To make your booking, click on the orange button at the top of the page, ensuring that you select the correct number of rooms and types for all members in your party plus all the required extras. When you book, we will require a deposit to confirm your place.

Payments

When you confirm your booking, we will take full payment at time of booking. 

The cost of the event entry is non-refundable.
