Tour of the Alps is a challenging week heading across the Alps from Lake Annecy to the Mediterranean Sea, ticking off some bucket list alpine climbs along the way. This special edition of our Tour of the Alps coincides with the Tour ed France visiting on Bastille Day, so we're taking the opportunity to spend a "rest day" in Alpe d'Huez to watch the Tour.

Enjoy small group rides with mechanical support and feed stations on the route, allowing you to focus solely on conquering this epic challenge. The trip includes daily ride briefs along with breakfast and dinner. Our team will deliver your luggage and bike box to each hotel.

This challenging week is a great opportunity to tick off some famous climbs, or re-visit some that you haven't ridden in a while.

Tour Highlights

Col de La Madeleine: The Hors Catégorie Madeleine is the first real challenge of the week, coming at the end of the first day of riding.

Galibier & Alpe d'Huez: We'll take on both these epic climbs on day 2, you'll earn your rest day!

Rest Day on Alpe d'Huez: Whether you want to spend the day in a café in resort or descend down to join the party on Dutch Corner, you're in the perfect place to watch the Tour de France stage.

Col d'Izoard: Our third day of riding takes us up and over the iconic moonscape of the casse déserte.

Col de la Bonette: Day four takes us over the one of the highest roads in Europe, with the option to add a loop of the Cime de la Bonette if your legs are fresh!

Average daily distance and climbing: 120km and 3,200m

We stay in a mix of 3* hotels through our stay, with breakfasts and evening meals included throughout.

Wednesday 13th July:

Unsupported ride from Saint Francois Longchamp to Alpe d’Huez.

Luggage transfer between hotels.

Evening meal in Alpe d’Huez.

Thursday 14th July:

Free day - Tour de France stage arrival in Alpe d’Huez.

Evening meal in Alpe d’Huez.

Friday 15th July:

Supported ride from Alpe d’Huez to Guillestre.

Luggage transfer between hotels.

Evening meal in Guillestre.

Saturday 16th July:

Supported ride from Guillestre to Auron.

Luggage transfer between hotels.

Evening meal in Auron.

Sunday 17th July:

Supported ride from Auron to Roquebrune Cap Martin.

Luggage transfer between hotels.

Monday 18th July:

Optional morning ride out of Roquebrune Cap Martin.

Shower available post-ride.

Transfer to Nice Airport for riders & bike boxes/luggage.
