Friday 1 April and Saturday 2 April, 2022: Travel to Berlin and collect your race pack
Make your way to Berlin and on arrival check in to the hotel. Usually hotel rooms are ready after 3pm. If you arrive earlier please be prepared to leave your luggage with the hotel concierge and you have the option to head off to the Marathon Expo to collect your race documents.
How to get to the Expo
Walk about 10 minutes (700 metres) to the nearest U Bahn station which is Hallesches Tor. Get off after 4 stops (about 7 minutes) at Tempelhof station and walk about 3 minutes to the Expo.
The rest of the day you can relax and prepare for race.
Berlin Half Marathon Expo
The Expo has plenty to see and do so allow plenty of time to collect your race documents, shop from the many exhibitors, listen to the experts on stage and enjoy the pre-race day vibe.
Opening hours:
- Friday, April 1, 2022 - 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, April 2, 2022 - 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Berlin Tempelhof – Venue of the Half Marathon Expo
The former Airport Tempelhof is one of the most spectacular and historically significant event locations in the world. The building ensemble is being used for different events since 2009 - with an impressive number of events and visitors. Trade fairs, music and sport events also take place in Europe’s largest monument as well as product presentations, gala dinners and award ceremonies.
Already in 2012 there were more than 1,000 applications from event organisers. In addition, there were 200 interested parties, who wanted to take pictures and video-shoot. In 2012, more than 60 events were organised with more than half a million visitors.
Since October 2015, a few hangars as well as parts of the apron are being used as temporary emergency refugee accommodation and are not available for renting for events. Moreover, the main hall, the heart of the event location, offers place for your events as well as photography and video-shooting.
Pastalounge at the HALF MARATHON EXPO
Since 2018 there has been a ‘Pastalounge’ for you to brace yourself for the upcoming 21,0975 km race and to get to know fellow runners in a pleasant atmosphere. The ‘Pastalounge’ is situated in the so-called ’Showroom’ at hangar 5. Enjoy an Italian inspired pasta buffet at the following hours:

Entry to the Pastalounge can be selected as an optional extra at £15 per person.
Sunday 3 April, 2022 : Berlin Half Marathon
Today is the day! We have an early start this morning. Early breakfasts is arranged in the hotel restaurant.
Getting to the start
The start and finish are located at Straße des 17. Juni between Brandenburg Gate and Victory Column. Your bib will give you free transport today.
Family and friends can travel by public transport in their own time and pace to support and spectate along the race route. After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up, celebrate…you deserve it!
Monday 4th April, 2022 : DEPARTURE DAY
Unless you have booked extra nights with us then today is the day you check out of your room and we say thank you for joining us. It’s not goodbye but instead we’ll see you next time as we hope you will join us for another Destination Sport Experience.
