Location

Bermuda is an all round destination, sun, sea, sand and sports. Bermuda is a small British island territory in the North Atlantic Ocean known for its friendly locals, beautiful sandy beaches such as Elbow Beach and Horseshoe Bay. Its massive Royal Naval Dockyard complex combines modern attractions like the interactive Dolphin Quest with maritime history at the National Museum of Bermuda. Culturally Bermuda has a distinctive blend of British and American culture, especially in the capital, Hamilton.

You will probably have heard of the famous Bermuda Triangle but there are no more missing boats and planes in that area than any other ocean in the World.

Bermuda is considered Britain’s oldest colony and you can still see many influences to this day even though it’s an independent country, it’s still a part of the British Overseas Territory and Britain’s oldest overseas territory.

Bermuda is on the Greenwich Mean Time minus four hours (GMT -4 hrs) If you’re coming from the UK, you’ll be four hours behind London.

The official currency of Bermuda is the Bermudian dollar. The Bermudian dollar is equivalent to approx. one US Dollar. Bermuda accepts USD everywhere, but not the Great Britain Pound. Alternatively, you can use an ATM to withdraw the Bermudian dollar or if you have US Dollar that works too. Debit and credit cards, except for Discover cards, are accepted at almost all restaurants, shops, and hotels with the exception of a few local eateries. So you might need a small amount of cash.
