In Spring 2024, ride Mallorca with Sportive Breaks. Our Mallorca Cycling Weekender includes 4 days of guided rides. Arrive mid-week on Wednesday when flight prices are a bit cheaper and depart on Sunday so you can be back for work on Monday.

Every day you can join your choice of guided ride straight from the hotel. You can choose from 4 ride groups every day depending on your fitness and experience level. On the road you will be looked after by English speaking ride captains.

Bring your own bike or rent one of our carbon road bikes for the weekend. Stay with us in Playa de Muro near Alcudia where the best riding in Mallorca is. Breakfasts and evening meals are included. As well as the cycling, you can enjoy the hotel’s pool and of course you can have a dip in the sea.

Whether it's some late training for a big event or you just want to get warm weather early season riding in, this weekend break is for you.

Your Itinerary

Wednesday : Arrival day

Please make your own arrangements to arrive at our hotel or book our optional private airport transfers and meet us at Palma Airport. At an additional cost, we offer a private transfer service throughout the day. Please allow an hour from your flight landing time to your transfer time, to allow you to get through passport control and collect your luggage. The transfer takes approximately 45 – 60 minutes depending on traffic.

What about my bike?

If you book our private airport transfers, you can bring your own bike as we have planned to transport bike boxes. Alternatively, you can rent a bike with us for the weekend. Our mechanic will be available this afternoon at the hotel to assist you with fitting your rental bike or building your own bike after travel. Bikes can be safely stored at the hotel.

Our Hotel

We are staying at either the Ivory Play hotel or Hotel Las Gaviotas. Our hotels are well-located in Playa de Muro. The hotels are booked on a Half Board basis, with breakfasts and evening meals included. You will also have free access to the secure bike store and the hotel's other facilities. The hotels offer convenient free laundy service for cycling clothing.

Thursday

Breakfast followed by our first ride.

This afternoon you are free to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and we will have the evening meal together at the hotel.

Friday

Breakfast followed by our 2nd ride.

This afternoon you are free to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and we will have the evening meal together at the hotel.

Saturday

Breakfast followed by our 3rd ride.

This afternoon you are free to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and we will have the evening meal together at the hotel.

Sunday : Departure day

Departures

Breakfast today and if you have a later flight tonight then you do have the opportunity to join us for a final ride today.

Need to Know

Our groups start with a low-intensity light touring group. As a minimum you should have the ability to comfortably cycle in proximity to others, be experienced in fundamental techniques of cornering, climbing, descending plus the effective and safe use of brakes and gears. These skills should be in evidence at progressively higher levels in the choice of other riding groups also offered.

Location

Mallorca has long been a favourite destination for riders around the world, with many riders coming back every year and still finding new routes to explore. Packed into the island are some stunning coastline rides, a mountain range with a lot of great climbing, quiet country lanes and some stunning traditional villages where the pace of life has hardly changed for years. You can find it all in Mallorca, accompanied by sunshine, great road surfaces, a warm and welcoming local culture, and some amazing food.
