Your Experience

The world’s greatest festival of cycling returns on Sunday 28 May 2023, with a new format, exciting new routes and a new partnership with the English County of Essex. Destination Sport Experiences are proud to be appointed as Official Overseas Travel Operator of RideLondon-Essex 100.

As well as offering hotel and entry packages for international riders, we also offer hotel packages for UK riders with hotel and support.

Please note that we are not able to sell entries to UK riders

The RideLondon-Essex 100 is a unique opportunity to ride 100 miles on traffic-free roads through the heart of London and neighbouring Essex. It will start and finish in the centre of the capital, with 60 miles of rolling roads through some of Essex’s most beautiful countryside and villages in between.

The route has not been announced yet but we expect it to be the same as in 2023 with start on the Embankment and finish at Tower Bridge. full route

We expect the event to sell out again. In 2023, the first 10,000 entries sold out in record time and the result of the entry lottery was announced at the end of February. International riders can guarantee their Ride London Essex 100 entry with a hotel and support package with Sportive Breaks.

UK riders can book our London city centre hotel and support package.

As the Official Overseas Travel Operator of RideLondon-Essex 100 we invite you to stay with us in the centre of London within minutes of the start and the finish of the Ride London Essex 100 Sportive. You can choose from 1, 2 or 3 nights and longer stays are also available. Guaranteed entry for the event is available for international riders when you book one of our hotel packages. Throughout the weekend, you can make use of our mechanic.

The route

The iconic 100-mile distance is the longest challenge ride in the RideLondon programme. It has been part of RideLondon since it was first held in 2013, with the first seven editions starting and finishing in London with a loop of Surrey in between.

The brand-new route for 2022 saw participants set off from Victoria Embankment in central London and into Essex via the historic Epping Forest. Once in Essex, riders glided past some of the county’s most picturesque towns and villages, including Ongar, Fyfield, the Rodings and Great Dunmow, before joining a section of the 2014 Stage Three Tour de France route.

That part of the course guided riders through Felsted and around the county town of Chelmsford before heading through Writtle and back towards Ongar and central London. Once in central London, participants then completed their ride to rapturous applause at Tower Bridge – a stunning Finish Line for the 100-mile challenge.
