Join Team SIA on the 10th year anniversary of our overseas cycle. In May this year, we will be Pedalling through picturesque Portugal. The ride will be from Lisbon to Albufeira and is fully accessible. Let’s make some fantastic memories together to last a lifetime and raise vital funds for SIA. We rely on your support so that we can continue to enable people with spinal cord injuries to live a fulfilled life. We’ve got this together!

By choosing the Self-Funding option, you agree to pay your trip costs of £1,457.

You will not have a set fundraising target, but we ask you to raise £700 for SIA. Everything you raise does make a huge difference.

Team SIA’s adventure starts on the outskirts of Lisbon. We then ride along the scenic National Road 2, also known as “The Route 66 of Portugal”, taking in the stunning landscapes, unique villages, beaches and rolling countryside of the Alentejo region. Our calling points along the route are Montemor, and Castro Verde before we reach our destination of Albufeira on day 4 to enjoy a well-earned celebratory meal and raise a glass to a wonderful achievement.

Challenge Start and Finish Locations

This challenge starts in Vila Franca de Xira on the outskirts of Lisbon. The nearest airport is Lisbon Airport, and you can get a train or taxi to our hotel in Vila Franca de Xira. The challenge finishes in Albufeira. The nearest airport is Faro Airport, easily connected by train or taxi. We advise taxi sharing to Faro Airport to keep costs down. Please book your flights accordingly.
